NEW YORK, NY - February 26, 2015 Last Thursday, BCM One held its first instructive seminar "Building a Strong Foundation for Your Cloud." The event featured keynote presenters, interactive workshops, and one-on-one information sessions. Due to the variety of educational tools and vertical-specific advice that the event offered, the seminar was well received.
Attendees heard from leading industry experts: Cisco System's Cloud CTO Ken Owens, BCM One's Lead Cloud Architect Rick Rios, VP of Cloud Solutions Michael Goodenough and CIO Geoff Bloss. To Michael M. Hailye, CIO of Phoenix House Foundation, the speakers provided a great knowledge base and new perspectives on cloud and how it relates to a company's efficacy.
"BCM One's CIO and other speakers had a strong understanding of how business priorities and operational needs are the starting point in understanding what cloud computing solutions and organization should pursue," said Hailye.
There were also chances to network and speak to other business leaders about industry initiatives and solutions. Between presentations, participants were broken into small groups and given the opportunity to discuss all aspects of business technology in a constructive environment - an aspect of the seminar CIO of Housing Works Michael Mendez found particularly valuable.
"The break-out session was extremely informative and had a wealth of information that I can use to seamlessly integrate cloud services into my business," explained Mendez. "They also proved to be great opportunity to gain perspective on how other CTO's are tackling their cloud initiatives and the challenges they present."
This workshop marked the beginning of the BCM One series, "Bringing the Science Back to Technology Business Decisions," that is designed to educate industry professionals on the utilization of telecommunication technologies for businesses. Building on the success of the cloud seminar, BCM One is excited to move forward with its series that will feature a variety of events, videos, and publications.
BCM One's next step in their commitment to thought leadership and education will be their attendance at the Channel Partners Conference March 16th- 18th in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV.
"The entire company has been working really hard to get us to where we are today," said BCM One CEO John Cunningham. "When Mike Goodenough declared, 'everyone talks about the InterCloud in theory. We are doing it,' it really sunk in how much the team has accomplished in such a short time. I am proud to be a part of it."
